On Wednesday we visited the Botanic gardens in Churchtown, Southport. We enjoyed a walk around, visited the Victorian Fernery and the Aviary and we got a little wet! On Thursday some of the group went to the Health + well-being at Blackrod Community Centre with Janet and Melanie. Firstly we did some exercise and then went indoors and talked about how important it is to keep hydrated. What beautiful weather we have enjoyed this week. On Tuesday we released the butterflies at Smithills Hall. Michele had a great idea of buying a butterfly kit so we could all witness the cycle from a caterpillar to a butterfly. We all loved the experience, thanks Eve for looking after them over the long weekend. On Wednesday we went to the Space Centre in Preston, we all had great fun. On Tuesday we spent the day at RHS Bridgewater. We had booked a wellbeing session with Ozichi and the team. We did some harvesting, planting and lots of tidying. It was Daniel's first visit, Daniel and Michael's task was to plant up some big pots and get another one ready for a banana plant that was going to be planted soon.
