On Wednesday we visited Pennington Flash. We all enjoyed a leisurely walk round and called at all the bird hides. Whilst having our lunch we saw a goose limping and noticed it had nylon wrapped around its leg, so Michelle and Tara came to its rescue!
On Thursday we enjoyed another barge trip on Lady Harriot along Bridgewater canal, we boarded at Boothstown Marina, travelled to Astley and then to Worsley. We all had a great day and the weather was glorious.
Our other activities this week included;
Community Zumba
Work experience in the Mill Cafe
Arts and crafts - we made bird feeders with pine cones, peanut butter and bird seed - they all looked really good when we had finished
Baking
Crown green bowling (lottery funded)
And to finish a great week, a fun session from Alan Lifebeats
Wishing my mum a well earned holiday in Crete!
