Welcome Molly!

We have welcomed a new staff member Molly to the ELCC family.

We have been so busy this week with lots of outings.

Monday

Community Zumba and then in the afternoon we did some parachute games followed by a sensory activity of taste, everyone had a go and did well at guessing the tastes.

Tuesday

We all did some baking on Tuesday (brownies). Jemma also did some work experience in the Mill Café. We also had a local walk and did some fitness activities.

Wednesday

Our trip out was to Bury Fire Training Service, t0o learn about fire safety. Thanks very much Steph and Drew - we all received a fire safety certificate.

Thursday

We had another fun packed day at the Space Centre, Azim Ali's first experience.

Friday

Some of the group went to the Anderton Centre on the Wheely Boat, Eve was encouraging Robin to go fast!

Phil entertained the group with music at Kings and in the afternoon we had a lively and fun session with Alan from Lifebeats. Azim Ali was a natural on the drums.

At the end of the day everyone was singing Christmas carols, I think it's a bit early as we are still in September! This was Azim Ali's idea.

The group was so good that we are definitely going to arrange a Christmas Carol service but in December!!!

Other news:

  • A huge thanks to Mandy who kindly donated her birthday money of £500 to our Friends of Enhancing Lives fund, which will certainly help us towards our minibus. What a lovely gesture.

  • We also raised £240 last week from our bottle tombola which took place during our 3rd year anniversary party.

  • Another huge thanks to Janet Rhodes who kindly arranged the Anderton Centre activity days, which have been taking place each Friday over the last 6 weeks. Everyone got so much from them!
