Our trip out on Wednesday was to Elizabeth Gaskell's house. The historic house and museum celebrates the life and literature of Elizabeth Gaskell, who was one of the most important Victorian writers. Each room we visited had an expert guide who informed us all about the history of each room. We even found out that Charlotte Bronte visited and was a good friend of Elizabeth Gaskell!
After our tour of the house we had lots of fun dressing up in Victorian dress. I think Dave had the most fun dressing up as you can see from the pics, he really suited the dress!
We would like to say a huge thanks to everyone at Elizabeth Gaskell's house, you made us all feel very welcome.
