Thanks Emily!

We began the week with Michael working in the Community Grocery, well done Michael! We also did our Community Zumba and after the session we all made ourselves a drink - practicing our life skills.

In the afternoon we had fun painting pumpkins for Halloween, definitely too much glitter on some.

In the morning we all bought our own drinks in the Mill Cafe and sat for a chat.

In the afternoon we had a Halloween Party, everyone dressed up, we all enjoyed pasty and mushy peas and lots of goodies, followed by lots of dancing.

Our day out this week was to the Vue cinema at Salford Lowry, we all watched The Great Escape with lots of popcorn.

We all went to Victoria Hall to watch a pantomime (Hansel and Gretel) we all had a good laugh, everyone on the front row got soaked from the water guns!

At night a few of us ventured into Manchester to a Meet 'n' Match event which was held at Yates and ran by Sam who we met a few weeks ago. Michelle had the giggles all night!

Today Phil held a music session, we all had a go on the keyboard and Sammy, Michael, Eve and Alan all had a go at singing.

In the afternoon we did some work experience for the Community Grocery, packing tea bags. Later we had a party for Emily who has been our Friday volunteer for the past 6 weeks. After some dancing we all had some amazing goodies that Emily had brought in for us.

We would all like to say a massive thank you to Emily, who has fitted into the ELCC family right from the start. We have really appreciated all of your help!

Other news:

  • It was Pei Yan's graduation today - we all hope it went well and hope you had a fabulous day!
